Changing the Length of Time a Person can stand still in a Zone

The Video Turnstile system works by detecting change against a stored background. It may be, though, that a person enters the counting zone and then stands still. If they stand still for long enough, Video Turnstile will consider them to be part of the background. By default a person can stand still for up to 24 seconds and still be counted. You can change this to 8, 16, 24, 30, 32 or 40 seconds. Use a longer time for areas where people tend to queue or linger.

  1. Select the VT module which is monitoring your entrance.
  2. In the Settings list, type into the suggested FreezeTime box.
  3. Click the Apply to VT button or Send Settings to Module.
  4. If you wish to set other VT units to this settinggo to the Settings tab and click button 5, Copy settings to higher address numbers.
