The message "Error reading settings - attempting to restore defaults" has appeared
- You are running VT Setup and can contact the Logger, but when you try to read from the VT you get the above message.
It is possible for a VT to get a new address but to be incorrectly programmed with new settings, typically because more than one unit is being programmed by mistake. - Ensure your version of VT Setup is 7.16 or higher, or download the latest version from the web site (contact us for the URL, user name and password to do so)
- On getting the error message the program will attempt to restore the settings to a VT with the current address and if this fails can try address 16, which is the default address for mis-programmed VT units.
