People Counting with Video Turnstile

Video Turnstile
People Counting Systems from Biodata Ltd

Is a Video Turnstile System Suitable for You?

Counting people is not a science, it is more of a craft needing experience and the right tools to suit the particular circumstances. Biodata's Video Turnstile system uses small CCTV cameras looking down from the ceiling. It counts people who go through a detection zone. Factors such as:
— size of the entrance to be monitored,
— lighting,
— effects on the television picture of doors opening (e.g. reflections, shadows etc)
all need to be considered to see whether a suitable monitoring position has been chosen.

You should also consider whether people will normally cross the zone under the proposed camera position, rather than say stop and hold a discussion with their friends.

If you would like us to send you a quotation for a people counting system, please complete this simple questionnaire to check the suitability of Video Turnstile for the proposed monitoring point. If you have more than one entrance with different circumstances please send the questionnaire more than once to cover the types of entrance being considered. We look forward to hearing from you.

Systems start at £535.
